Hi,

Please write to the ECM list, not to me directly.

If so, then that's expected, these are "short" names and are usually not visible in the UI. They are set by Nuxeo EP from the initial title when a document is created but aren't changed afterwards.
You can do
 view somedoc
to find out more of its info and for instance the dc:title.

In the webplatform, the navigation tree expose the containers objects of the repository with the title for name. Against, in the nuxeo-shell, the navigation is based on the initial title... Why the real name of the document isn't modified in the repository when the title is changed ?

Because that's not the purpose of the short name. The short name is a unique identifier given to the document in its containing folder. We could have used random numbers, but preferred to use something that looks a little bit informative.

And we don't change it when the title changes because that's not the storage model. And what if two documents have the same title?

Also keep in mind that at the moment the Nuxeo Shell is used for debugging and administration purposes.

Florent
