Well the theme change and you have a "foo bar" instead of Nuxeo logo. I don't remember all the things that the sample change inside the workflow but with it you have a good overview of what your plugins can do. So ! You haven't seen all that so you are in trouble.
1) clean Nuxeo install. 2) open a console and run.sh in it without any plugin. Anything wrong? If buffer is too short, give a look at server.log 3) tell maven to create the package and tell to "ant" to deploy it (or copy instead). Anyway you now have a .jar placed into the plugin diretory. Another run.sh and ... another look at the messages. You will see something. If not come back and tell us where things gone wild.
