My company has a requirement from our security team to not have userid's and passwords for things like database connections etc. in plain text on deployed machines. We have a custom api that we typical call that allows us to look that information up based on a local environment setting. What I would like to do is configure the repository descriptor at run time rather than hard code the information in default-repository-config.xml or some other xml file. I have been looking at the extention points for the RepositoryManager and I am not seeing an easy way to do this.
I am wondering has any one else done something like this and if so how did you accomplish it?
