about the rank of the univs here ther eis no problme almost all of the univs have same standard...dont worry about the rank.,,,but there is a grading b/w instituions and it does matter ,,its as under
after MASTERS from
UNIVERSITY.:- u can start PHD..and its basically research oriented approach in Masters and style is like NED
FACHHOCHSCHULE:----u can not start PHD its like, we have polytechniques, their approach is much more practical and their curriculum meetgs the current standards of industry, and thats why students from FH have more opportunites to get job.
TECHNICAL UNIVERSITY:- a combination of UNI and FH u can start ur phd after here.
expenses depends upon the city in which u willilve but almost same arround 275-300 per motnh for us..:)
TA/RA is known as HIWI job here and it depends upon ur skills and luck ,,,,u must be efficent in WEB development ,,,JAVA,,C++,HTML or any one of these to get HIWI easily.
off campus job is allowed normally 90 days per year...full days,,and 80 hrs per week as a HIWI excluded....but its difficult to get off campus job in the start it may take 3 -4 months to be aware of the environment.,,,but i recommend to try to get HIWI as soon asu can ,,b/c u cant study well with off campus job...dont take it light.
student accomjodation depends upon ur univ if u r coming to some city which have wellorganized hostels u can get easily or u have to book it before coming to germna yin advacne....other wise u have to arrange it after reaching her ebut this is not a big problme because the studemnts there help a lot ,,and one can settle it ,,,,
like if u r coming to HAMBURG u hv to arrange by ur own ,,,,
but if u rcoming to ACHEN or stuttgart they willask u for advance booking .
i rtecommend u to tsearch fo ran appropirate course by urself,,but try to apply every where what ever is it ,,and once u r her eu can change it easily ,,imena if u got addmsiison in FH dont reject it just come here and then u can change to some where else because it has been ovbserved here that when once u r here ur chances to get addmission in any other univ is already.75% and many people from our univ who was were unable to pass the test got addmission in ACHEN RWTH which is at rank 2 or 1 i think ..:) so dont think much more just apply every where related to electrcial engg u should apply approx 6-10 UNIV/FH/TU
