Jackie, I have wondered also how far we have progressed socially. My
wonderings came after I had studdied 5th century BC Greece. I realized
that not much has changed at all in over 2500 years. Historical texts
written by Herodotos and Thucydides who were contempory to the time still
survive.
But does this mean we can't get better? Oh despair.
for my own sanity I cannot believe this. It is a human need to have hope!
