An "initialed" person ([EMAIL PROTECTED]) mentioned a book
titled MY NAME IS CHELLIS & I'M IN RECOVERY FROM WESTERN
CIVILIZATION, by Chellis Glendinning, 1994, on June 9. When
searching our library for this I came upon ANOTHER one instead
(same author) titled WHEN TECHNOLOGY WOUNDS: tHE HUMAN CONSEQUENCES
OF PROGRESS, 1990 (Wm. Morrow & Co., NY). Haven't read it yet,
but looks VERY interesting..... I am wondering if the reason we
don't have her newest one is the "Shambala Pub." - if you're
"there," jgm, speak to me! Is this a foreign press? Where did
you see this book?

We also got a new one in last week I thought I relay to you:
AMERICAN WOMEN AFIELD; WRITINGS BY PIONEERING WOMEN NATURALISTS,
by Marcia Myers Bonta, 1995 (Texas A&M Press).
Too many to name but a few of the women naturalists included are:
Rachel Carson, Susan Fenimore Cooper, Graceanna Lewis, Cordelia
Stanwood, Edith Clements, Agnew Chase and Ynes Mexia.

"FYI"
