i have read some of china's history. the population problem has been
apparent in china since at least the 1940's. its not just for the sake of
the environment. many chinese starved to death. there simply was not
enough food. how can we judge a countrys decision such as the one child
policy when the choice as they probably see it is this or slow starvation
for even more chinese citizens. i think the one child policy was not made
lightly or as something to upset people and force abortions. maybe the
administration of this idea is bad but the idea in itself is in response to
a real crisis.
