Rachel -
I used to take spirulina (a type of freeze dried algae) for B12. I
noticed a big difference in my health when I combined this with b12
supplements as well. As far as "real" foods that contain B12, I am not
so sure...

Ecofeminism is, in my understanding, 3 assumptions and one conclusion:
1. Patriarchal cultures naturalize women.
2. PCs feminize nature.
3. 1 & 2 reinforce and facilitate the objectification of both.
Thus, women occupy particularly useful positions for interrogating and
interrupting environmental degradations.
Of course, it's more complex than any definition can encapsule. Categories
such as "nature" and "women," and adjectives like "patriarchal" require
constant questioning themselves. But this is where I start explaining something
as odd as "ecofeminism" to people who say, "eco-what?"

Just a couple things:
First to Pam: Yes, there is more to ecofeminism than meat/veggie debates. I am
afraid that this debate has gotten
blown out of proportion and we have forgotten the other aspects of ecofem. If you
would like to ask specific
questions about ecofem, maybe that will help the group to get back on track. I would
be pleased to discuss
anything you'd like to know. ;-)
Then to everyone else: I don't mean to harp, but is there anyway that when people are
writing responses to the
list that they could do one message with all their responses instead of sending a
bunch of messages? The # of
messages on the ecofem list is beginning to get overwhelming...at least for me. It
would be easier to sort through
my e-mail if we could consolidate messages. Just a suggestion.
