FYI...Stefanie ------- Forwarded Message Follows ------- *** ListProcessor for Canadian Botanical Conservation Network *** An Internet ListProcessor has been set up to serve the Canadian Botanical Conservation Network. This facility wll allow anyone who subscribes to the List to post messages to the other subscribers, and receive electronic versions of the CBCN newsletter, through their e-mail addresses. The purpose of the list is to allow information exchange and dialogue on issues of plant conservation, biodiversity, restoration ecology, and related issues, especially where they are important in Canada. Participation by botanical gardens, arboreta and related organizations is particularly welcome, but all who are interested may subscribe. The CBCN-L list is moderated, and all subscriptions will be approved by me. To participate in the CBCN-L List, you must subscribe. To subscribe, send an e-mail message to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Do not add any subject heading. In the text of the message, type only the line: subscribe CBCN-L <your name> where <your name> is your actual name, not your e-mail address. You will be notified as soon as your request for subscription has been processed. Other information on how to use the ListProcessor can be obtained by sending the following line to the same address: help To remove your name from the list, send: signoff CBCN-L _or_ unsubscribe CBCN-L Do not send subscription requests or other queries about your attachment to the CBCN-L to the ListServer address (CBCN-L@...). Please keep in mind that ListProcessors keep track of subscribers on the basis of your e-mail address. You must use the same e-mail address to post messages and change your subscription that you used to subscribe. Because the CBCN-L List is now functional, the less-formal e-mail list previously established through my email account will be discontinued immediately. For those who may be worried about receiving many separate messages, it is possible for _you_ to request that you receive a single mailing per day of all messages. To request that you receive correspondence in this "Digest" format, send an email message to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Containing only the line: set CBCN-L mail digest The CBCN-L promises to be a very useful medium of communication for CBCN. I look forward to your participation and use of this new facility. best wishes, David A. Galbraith, Ph.D. Coordinator, Canadian Botanical Conservation Network Royal Botanical Gardens, P.O.
