Well, it's fairly typical of Christians isn't it? They are built on
patriarchy and oppression. Behind some of the worst wife beaters are
Christian values.
My only advice, don't bite your tongue. Say what you think and let 'em
hate you. Better they hate you than you hate you. Stick up for the little
birdies.
