Touche!!
You're right... I seem to live under my own "definition" of Christianity.
Deep down, I really believe that Man has twisted and reinterpreted the
TRUE "word of God" so much that we are left to decide what -we- believe
it is to be Christian. Unfortunately, many "Christians" use the cruelty
against animals in the Bible as proof that animals are ours to exploit
and dominate. As for me, I have trouble believing that one who is as
loving as Christ is described, to be one who would also condone such
atrocious acts against other creations of God, human or otherwise.
Simply my opinion... open- (or close-) minded as it may be. :)

Funny in a pathetic way, but you're right. I am an anomaly in that I am
an animal rights activist, as well as a gay/lesbian rights activist, and also
a Christian. It's tough to digest the cruelty sometimes, especially that
exhibited by others calling themselves "Christian." Sheesh, even members
of the KKK call themselves Christian!!
But remember... just because someone -says- they are something, doesn't
mean they are! I can't see Christianity as the sum of all who SAY they
are Christian. If this were the case, I would have to say Christians are
some of the most cruel people I have ever met! And I AM a Christian.

Nope, didn't offend me :)
