Just a quick note to let ya all know I'm back on the list after being
gone for two months. I spent those two months living in the redwoods
of Northern California working to save the Ancient Old Growth trees
from logging. In the process I and many other dedicated individuals
have been arrested, and jailed. I spent 9 days in jail, 8 of them on a
hunger strike, for my beliefs and efforts to save a vital ecosystem.
It is nice to be back ...

could you say more about what went on in Northern CA...I'm from Humboldt
Co...now in Philadelphia, and I'm very very interested in hearing about the
progress to save the forests. (I teach env. ethics here and am always
looking for connections to current civil defense)
