Anne: I went back and re-read the original message you sent. It
came across as extremely hostile and could easily be interpreted as that
you think he should keep his mouth shut, or even that he has no right to
be here.
Much as it may appall some people, men have the right to be
involved in feminism and feminist issues. Why? First, because many of
them are just as interested in healing the damage done to people because
of sexism; men can be(and are)just as appalled at the waste of a mind as
women. Second, because throwing out half the population when trying to
change a system that affects all of it doesn't work; it's throwing out
the baby with the bathwater. Women can go far alone. So can me. But
both get farther when they work together, even if it is an argumentative
partnership at times.
