I need some info!!!!
My name is Tamara Kelly and I am a senior at Miami University in
Oxford, OH. I am currently taking a class entitled "Gender and Science", and
through my professor I have become aware of ecofeminism. I have done a lot of
general research about ecofeminism but I am very interested in answering some
specific questions, such as:
Did Rachel Carson have a direct influence on the
development of ecofeminism as a movement? How is she regarded in the movement
today? Was she the first to vocalize some of the ideas of the movement or is
her work just considered a springboard for the development of the movement and
environmental awareness?
What is the relationship between scientific ecology and ecofeminism?
Is there mutual communication between the two in an effort to accomplish common
goals, or does each exist without significantly impacting the other?
If you have ideas about any of these questions or if you can point me in the
direction of some literature that will help, I would very much appreciate it.
Thank you very much.
