yes, doesn't he have a good way with words/images? and his
whole critique of how "refugees" are seen/treated as so
inhuman that they don't deserve choices, agency, etc. For a second
(for me at least) the image of a "refugee" with a credit card
was jarring, but then it made me think how news coverage, how
this "charity" mindset, etc. makes us look at others in such
a demeaning way, they loose their personhood and become
these "refugees", not intelligent or resourceful or strong
people.
also his "disaster tourism" expression was clever too.

i don't know if you or your students would be interested,
but Nick gave permission to put his email address on the
contact information web page, so you could address some
questions to him. (however, i have no idea how busy he is
and i am going out on a limb by suggesting this :)
but he is a very amiable person, and, obviously, you could always ask
in advance if he would be available for that if you were
interested.
