I'm doing some career/grad school exploration, and would like to know if
anyone can recommend good environmental orgs./groups that I could
contact. I'm looking for opportunities to talk to people about what they
do, and/or to get some direct experience in an environmental field. I'm
interested in both the natural science of environments/ecology AND in
the relationship that humans have with it (how we affect it, how we are
affected by it, how we affect each other's lives through our impact on
it). I've been looking into graduate programs in Environmental
Anthropology (U. of Georgia, U. of Washington), but am concerned that
anthropology may not be as "hands-on" as I would like. If anyone has
ANY ideas, I would greatly appreciate your response. Thank you.
