It's my understanding that the bonobo males have the same level of
aggression as other male chimps, but that because the unique (sexual) female
bonding system, the female bonobos start slapping the adolescent males silly
when they begin to act out.   The bonobos do hold out hope for humanity, but
it's not by raising/breeding a different kind of male.  It's about females
acting out a separatist agenda.
