hey,
here's some ecofeminism info!:

"a bibliography of ecofeminist resources"

books:
_Reweaving the World: The Emergence of Ecofeminism_
edited by Irene Diamond and Gloria Orenstein. An anthology.
_Healing the Wounds: The Promise of Ecofeminism_
edited by Judith Plant. An anthology.
_Ecofeminism_ edited by Greta Gaard.
Anthologies are helpful because they include many ecofeminist authors
and you can you from there, look up what they write.
some ecofeminist authors include: susan griffin, ynestra king,
karen j.warren, val plumwood
also, if you can possibly get it, the spring 1991 issue of "Hypatia" is
devoted to ecofeminism. esp. good
_Gyn/ecology_, by Mary Daly, is one of the "frontier" texts, and Mary
Daly will blow your mind, but she's a bit tough to get through.
Let me know how it goes!

sounds like an excellent opportunity!
Please contact her directly for further details.

Dear colleague:
We plan to publish a set of 15 papers in a book followed by commentaries by
distinguished practitioners, ecophilosophers, academics, etc. We are
looking for people to write a '1,000 words or less' essay on one of these
papers for the book. The comments would not be critical, but would take
off from what has written and add to it (like a dialogue rather than a
debate). The set of papers may be further improved following this input.
All of the papers took 'ecofeminism' as a paradigm and looked at an issue
in their respective fields (architecture, landscape design, industrial
design, construction management and economics). The commentator would not
need to know about ecofeminist theory, but you are on this e-mailing list
because we have reason to believe you have some knowledge of environmental
design or environmental theory.
If you are interested, we will forward some abstracts for you to consider.
We would like the commentaries in a month or so, as we hope to have the
book ready for the Catalyst 97 Conference in December (see blurb below).
That may be unrealistic, and we will abandon that goal if necessary, so
don't be put off by the deadline. In any case, we will subsequently
publish the book externally.
