Ecofemmers, I'm disappointed.

When I signed up for this list, my expectations were that the content of
the discussion would be about issues like those Dorceta Taylor raised in
her first posting (e.g. toxic waste sites, native americans). I had
hoped to learn (and share) about things like xenoestrogens. Like the
"glass ceiling" for women in the big NGO's. Like the continual efforts
of the medical establishment to link breast cancer to diet and genetics,
when there is clear epidemiological evidence that women from certain
regions (oddly enough, near AFB's etc. where toxic have been dumped)
have very high incidences of breast cancer.

I worked my way happily through the initial discussions of body
piercing, s&m, and vegetarianism, eager to know how the list would
evolve. But after Taylor's initial posting, I watched with increasing
disappointment and frustration as the content of her initial comments
was virtually ignored. Some people seem stuck in pet topics or a
limited repertoire of interactive modes. Others get caught up in an
endless round of responses to these topics or modes.

There's an old saying: "When there's trouble, the left gathers their
wagons in a circle and fires inward." (I guess the use of the word
"left" indicates just how old the situation is.)

P.S. Be forewarned, if you flame me privately, I will post it to the
list.
