At this point, there seems to be several credible voices from the British
press suggesting that the targets were not much of threat.
And, no, I don't always think "our" government (which, is, after all, a
fairly motley assortment of talents) tells us everything; in fact, I think
they knew that the targets weren't of great military "value." Why do I
think they don't tell us all? Review recent history: Bush/Irangate; the
entire scenario behind the "downwinders," those exposed to fallout from
so-called safe detonation of nuclear bombs; etc.; etc.
And...in all honesty, I think the easiest route is to say bomb the
b-jezers out of x, y, or z. It is distracting; prevents looking in the
mirror!
