We tried pressure on the Taliban; they blew us off. We knew
exactly where the camps were and what they were used for from a
alumnus of of their training program - a real, live terrorist.
This whole thing began when someone tried to use this list to
organize a protest of the U.S. reprisal on Osama Bin Ladin's
terrorist network weeks after he truckbombed two of our embassies,
killing more than a hundred people and maiming four thousand. The
words "shocked", "repulsed", "disgusted", "nauseated", "aghast" and
"appalled" do not even BEGIN to describe the feelings this
engendered in me.

This is nice and all but it seems to be straying from the real point of
this
list serv, and that is to discuss women and the environment. Maybe you
should start your own listserv for terrorism and ask if we want to join
it.

Yes, we had. And Osama Bin Ladin Was already under indictment
for solicitation to murder (remember the Trade Center bombing?)
before the U.S. strike.
