Hi!

It appears that you are clumping two different kinds of people together:

The people who claim they are Christian and believe but do not LIVE the life.
They use the beliefs as a way to progress "themselves" in life.

The people who are Christian and believe and do live the Christian life.
People who take the sacraments seriously, offer themselves as servants, follow
a strict code of moral behavior, etc.

Which group of people do you think unhonest, uncompassionate, greedy, self-
centered, power seeking so-called Christian CEOS fall under?

Please understand that not all Christians arbitrary dismiss the virtues as
something expected of someone else and not themselves - that is like saying
that all pagans are athesists - now that itsn't true right?

Thanks!

Hi!

Right Candi! However, regarding them having little power - that is what self-
actualization can do - empower people to believe in themselves as worthy of
respect, equal rights, freedom, etc. then you can't hold them down. Empower
all people with self-esteem and education. That is how they get the power of
love- believing in LOVE - love of self and the belief that that love should
spread to others. That is GOD to me!

Have you ever heard the expression: "You can't keep a good man down!" Should
read "You can't keep a good person down!"

With love of themselves COMBINED with our love- they can rise above their
situation - but they have been made to feel by society that they LET things
happen to them - if we tell them as a society of concerned citizens - that
they have just as much right and freedom to break free of their situation and
assist them in doing so - that is the answer. Empower them with themselves!
We can change their circumstances but they also have to FREE themselves
because - first you become your own prisoner and then others jail you -

For example: A woman is in a bad abusive marriage - Someone tries to get her
to divorce her husband "why do you stay with him?" She replies "I love him."
OK, do you think this woman loves herself? Would she allow this man to abuse
her if she loved herself - then how could she really love him if she didn't
love herself -
Free her from her own misunderstanding of the word love - teach her to love
herself and free her from the man who abuses her! Do not let her accept that
she could love him without loving herself because LOVE does not work that
way! She would not know the meaning of love, if she didn't understand that a
man who loved her would not abuse her and jail her in a bad marriage!

There are two truly basic human needs: FREEDOM and LOVE!
How we have defined these two words as a UN-united world has made the world of
difference! If we can believe that all life is worthy of freedom and love -
imagine that!

Peace!
Angela

Hi!

Candi - thanks for the explanation. I already had this discussion with
Arlene. I did re-read what I wrote that appeared bigotted and I agree - I
need to choose my words better. I should not assume that the reader will
understand what I wrote there. Eventhough I did try to clear up the
misunderstanding - you are right the words were still said - and I was wrong!
Thanks for letting me know and this will help me express myself better in
writing.

Peace!

Hi!

So, Joe you are saying the the religious dogma that urges people to populate -
should urge them to? Not have children because it would be better for the
Earth or have less children - now these people who are being told this by the
RELIGIOUS DOGMA LEADERS live where? On a different planet - they are somehow
unaware of the Eco-Crisis? Maybe we should make larger strides at letting
them know about the Eco-Crisis? - in this way they would not have to be told
or given permission by religious leaders to make moral decisions regarding
population and doing what IS the best for God's Earth and people!

What I said was - overpopulation is a problem - the answer is not mandatory
population control - the answer is educating the masses about the Eco-crisis
and how over-population affects it. Empower them to make THEIR OWN, educated,
moral, enlightened decision regarding their own bodies and futures to do what
is best for the Earth!

Peace!
Angela

I was answering Angelas desire to show that through belief in God
everything disappears, like sexism, racism and poverty. You could say that
as a child I lived in a working family household that was below the
poverty level. I as a child had no recourse to change that situation. My
parents may have tried to do better than they did-my father was in the
military and he retired but he never tried to get another job. He had
three children still living with him and he didnt get another job after he
retired from the military. My mother was too sickly at the time to work,
so my father was certainly "letting" poverty happen to his family.
