Hi!
Robin - It is always your choice - I told you what my choice is - where is the
contradiction? What is your choice? Good or bad? If your choice is good -
then what is good and why? Or are you free not to even make a choice? Do you
have free-will or not? And, if you do have free-will why?
Peace!
Angela

Subject: Re: Christian Meme
Hi!
>>There are some things you can't just explain away - Christianity is one of
them - classifying it under meme - it is far too simplicitic
++Angela, Christianity is your belief. There are many other beliefs, Buddhism,
Islam, Athiesm, etc etc
>>an explanation-do you know how the human brain really works?
++The working of the human brain has nothing to do with Christianity
>>Belief in the Holy Spirit fellowship runs far deeper then your simple
explanation. Believe what you want but your attempt at over simplifying a
complex deep spiritual is trivial.
++Beliefs of any type can appear to have deep unexplained meanings. Some
people truly believe in Aliens and some don't. Some people believe the words
of the
Bible to be the word of God while others see this book as the writings of
mostly male human beings based on memory and anecdote approx 50 years after
the death of Jesus.
>>Only people who believe that we created ourselves can believe that we created
God to make ourselves feel better.
++No that is wrong. People who *believe* in some "higher being" find comfort in
having thus created an explanation for the unexplainable - a being with a
"divine plan" that explains everything so we can escape responsibility for
our own human actions by imagining that we are all part of some big picture
or plan
and that our destiny, whatever it may be is in the hands of "God". This is
much easier for some to believe than to accept that we are borne and then we die
and that is it.
>>>>I have never meant a human intelligent, kind or mysteriuos enough to
create such a beautiful creation system of
interconnectedness
++I have met humans who easily destroy the system of interconnectedness.
The balance of nature will sort us all out in the long term. Our own
overpopulation of the Earth and our pollution and rape of the planet will be
the end of us all. This is logic...there is no divine plan involved...we are
destroying what could have been Eden and we have lost the plot. Our quest
for longer life, xeno-transplantation, genetic engineering, consumerism etc etc
shows our lack of understanding of our own humaness. We were meant to live
finite years and to die to let others replace us. Longer life and better health
have meant that our herds of humans are larger and more numerous than they
were ever meant to be. Thus disease, famine, pestilence or death by our own
hands through new diseases etc will probably be our undoing. Hopefully, if
we all die out quickly, there will be some habitat left for the animals who
we have treated so badly.
>>- leaves me to believe that something else created it - God
is that you?
++I see you believe in the Creationist theory Angela. Do you believe in Adam
and Eve?
