if I missed some key points. My first reaction was to the poor huddled masses
rising above their state. Ever been born into a world where hope is for other
people? Where you are told on a daily basis that you are "less than"? Where
your ancestors don't exist except as victims? You try surviving in that
environment, much less flourishing! Yes, in life there are choices. But I
think we need to recognize that the choices given are NOT equal! My second
reaction was to the over-population thread. Whenever I hear people talk of
population control it always makes me wonder - which populations?! I
especially wonder this when the words "them" and "they" are used. Is the fear
the earth will be over populated or that it will primarily be populated with
people of color? Now, of course I expect people to react negatively to what I
just said. Some will say I'm making a race issue out of something that's
about the environment. Well, as one of the "them" I am experienced enough to
