Hi all - I'm new to the group so I've just picked up the last 24 hours
worth of posts on the eco-village, but I wanted to introduce myself
and talk a little bit about things I've heard about Kibbutzes
(probably the wrong pluralization, my apologies).

I've never been to Israel. I have met a large number of people who
have, many of whom have spent time on a Kibbutz. The majority have
said that non-nationals were very much separate from the community
life of the Kibbutz, that their quarters were separate and that
because there are so many people coming and going, the permanent
residents mostly did not take the time to get to know them. I hope
that your experience is different, I'm sure not all Kibbutzes are like
that.

What made you decide to go, Alison? How did you choose a community?
Do you know others who have been?

Heather
