This is YOUR opinion Chris and you are but one person on the list.
No-one was "fettering" Terri but YOU were certainly trying to fetter
two persons on this list by your actions of putting words in their
mouths.
You decide that you want to encourage someone's "good feminist work"
and choose to intervene and speak on behalf of two other feminists
(with differing views) who are also expressing their opinions. If you
can't see the patriarchy in your actions, then I feel sorry for you. It
is not part of my feminist approach to apologise on behalf of other
adults on this list and such an act IS both patriarchal and belittling.
You may be ignorant of that fact.

>That is in no way patriarchal, except as a knee-jerk cliche.

Well this is dandy. A male who has acted in a *patriarchial manner*
brushes off this assertion by inferring that the assertion of patriarchy
and patronising behaviour made by one of the affected persons was a
*knee jerk reaction*!!! I think not!

>Neither is it my prerogative that the list is archived to internet.
I hope you understand?

This was a different issue of journalising without politely asking first
and the analogy between Mary Daly's patriarch affected world and
patriarchy and male domination in other places (including patriarchy on
this list).
