This is most telling.
I apologise for speaking on anyones behalf, but I don't apologise for what
I said.
The reason is clear. If some people make a constitutional fuss, the whole
objectivity and dispassionate nature of Teri's exercise is lost. This
undermines the democracy and balance completely. Truth is not served. I
recognise this problem in my own work and intend to try to hold the line
for the sanctity of the work.
As a member of a group in which two women appeared to be oppressing another
with imposed moral assumptions I reacted defensively to protect the
oppressed party. It is right to apologise on a group's behalf if one sees
oppression occurring. It is protective and nurturing.
I intend to nurture all oppressed women until the tide turns.
