when i first went vegan i clung to pasta as a 'safe food'. it was
something that would fill me up and that was always around...then i
discovered indian food. i would say try as much new types of food that
are traditionally vegan as you can and then if you still crave non-vegan
food begin to play around with the substitutes. a lot of really good
substitutes are around (from ice cream and sour cream to cheese). there
are also a lot of good vegan cookbooks with dairy/meat substitutes. also,
don't forget to eat a lot of fresh, raw fruits and vegetables. these are
the foods that will have you feeling your best. i would be more than
happy to yield any more vegan questions off the list.

we abhor injustice and fight with all we've got against the evils of
racism and sexism while we objectify bodies, encourage the suffering of
the innocent, and allow our environment to be degraded with every bite of
factory farmed flesh we eat and every sip of cow's milk we drink.
we are lulled into a passive sleep when we refuse to connect the evils of
one injustice to those of another.
