FEMINIST COLLECTIONS: A QUARTERLY OF WOMEN'S STUDIES RESOURCES
invites submissions for a special issue (volume 17, no. 2),
Winter 1996 on the topic:
"WOMEN'S STUDIES AND INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY:
REPORTS FROM THE FIELD"
As a quarterly devoted to describing and assessing women's
studies resources, we think it is time to provide a roundup of
practical reports on the experiences of instructors,
librarians, researchers, students, and activists using
electronic communication and resources.
We welcome articles on any of the following subjects as they
relate to women or gender:
* Electronic discussion groups within a course
* Distance education
* Collaborative projects mediated by electronic
communication
* Database searching strategies
* Teaching and using of Internet resources in courses,
research, or other activities
* Disseminating information
* Electronic publishing
* Adaptive technologies
* Other uses of new technologies
Abstracts of up to 250 words must be received by June 30, 1995.
Articles chosen for inclusion will be due January 15, 1996.
Word limit for articles: 1,500 words.
