Hi all,
I just want to share a small personal victory. I work
with many individuals who do not share my views of the
world. One of them kept using the word "girl" to
refer to women at other companies of "status"
comparable to his. Finally I turned around and said
"Jim, I imagine they are women, not girls." He always
has some snappy, but illogical and meaningless
comeback, but this time he just looked at me. I don't
know if it will change anything, or if he even thought
about what I meant, but I feel good for having said
it.
