Whenever I hear such stuff in an office setting I usually say something
like, "You must mean women, because child labor law does not allow us to
hire girls."  This usually scares 'em into at least changing the rhetoric.
For a while they even roll their eyes when they say "women."  But that
eventually changes too.

I have also noticed that young women are using the word "girl" to refer to
themselves, like my grandmother and her friends do.  Bye, bye second wave.
