I'd like to respond to Randi's query, but Adam... on the bright side, you've
seen a different take on the world for a brief moment, hopefully no harm has
come to you.
Randi, my attention to current events is somewhat lacking with finals and
relocation. Has the US made any attempt to pay retribution to China for
bombing their embassy, killing diplomatic citizens?
It does seem strangely suspicious, given our pinpoint precision war
machine.... more than an unjustified 'flyby' hit on innocent civilians. Feels
like something the US legislative majority in the 106th Congress would cook
up to teach China a lesson for allegedly swiping top secret whatevers in the
80's.... 'while we're there we may as well slap China in the process,' for
being the last remaining biggest buddy to the Milo-man. I can hear my
republican Idaho reps, Chenoweth and Sen. Craig saying these things at the
very least, in passing.
Ooops, we didn't mean it... says the Pentagon, sorry 'bout that. But then,
this country was founded on ethnic cleansing, genocide. No doubt America
kills with intention. Capitalist patriarchy. Top secret whatevers do little
for life.
Whether it's pessimistic or realistic, it would make perfect sense if China
chose to retaliate, just a simple oops, somewhere in the vicinity of any
random American someone, say... like Adam Beaumont, a real and true American
dick threatening, gun loving, intimidating, homicidal citizen and then what?
Most likely, much of America would rally against China to save Mr. Beaumont's
deprived penis. Where would the world be? I am so saddened at the initial
attack: All lights go green, bombs... with no or very inadequate
consideration of the consequences, the influx of refugees and compromises
expected of non participating neighboring countries. All of this wipes every
other global issue off the table in the media. Global warming? Africa? Kids
killing kids in the land of prosperity? Hunger? Species loss and
environmental degradation are low on the list of priorities. Who is out
there, the UN? Why does the country I live in, supposedly hip to tech
progress, bomb countries back to the stone age and say we need this part of
the world for economic reasons? If we're going to kill, why not be direct and
hit the Milo-man? Or exile he and his cronies to Idaho in the US, let the man
go round with Dick Butler and maybe have an affair with Helen Chenoweth while
he's here under institutional surveillance?
Adam, if you're reading this, I am sorry that you've received information
from this discussion group, unsolicited. It's happened before, where people
have received email from the list who never signed on. Tech error, we were
told before. I doubt that anyone here would impose upon you. If you have no
interest or at least some curiosity about life supporting philosophies...
