I also just finished reading this book and also really enjoyed it. It was
one of those rare books that is actually a good read and touches on some
serious issues. My only concern with the book, and I'm not sure how I
feel about it just yet, is the very sexual focus. Part of that is
integral to the story and that is fine. Thats it - it has just come to
me. It felt like a man wrote the sexual stuff. There isn't a lot of
exploration of female sexuality and the sexual aspects of relationships
(particularly Takagi, one of the main character's relationships) eclipse
the other aspects of her relationships. There wasn't much revelation
there. Did you agree, Elizabeth? Anyone else who has read it?

The truth knocks on the door and you say,
"Go away, I'm looking for the truth,"
and so it goes away. Puzzling.
