The International Geosphere Biosphere Programme, along with the World
Climate
Research Programme and the International Human Dimensions Programme, is
sponsoring a "Global Change Open Science Conference."  This will be the most

interdisciplinary meeting on global change of which I am aware.  It will be
held in Amsterdam on 10-13 July 2001, with the first call for abstracts to
be
issued this fall.
