Its offices are on the tenth floor of the Cultural Education Center. The project is financially supported by both public and private sources, including the State Legislature and corporate grants. The printed edition, with publication scheduled for 2002, will be a large one-volume book of approximately 1.6 million words in about 4,500 entries. An on-line edition will be published eighteen months after the printed edition. Several entries in areas that have an environmental factor still have not found a contributor. The encyclopedia pays a modest honorarium of 10 cents/word, which can be applied towards purchasing one copy at the discounted price of $40 (instead of $75). Hence 400 words=1 copy. If you are interested in writing about the following, or know someone who might, please contact me. I am in the office on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday Morning, and always reachable by e-mail. Deadlines are 3 months, generally, but longer for entries above 1500 words. Generally, we'd hope that people take several related entries.
