The Faculty of Environmental Studies at York University in Toronto
invites applications for a tenure stream position in the area of
Geographical Information Systems (GIS) and Planning.  A critical
perspective on the applications of GIS is essential.  Expertise in
Resource Management will be considered an asset, as will familiarity
with Remote Sensing.  The appointment, effective either January 1,
2002 or July 1, 2002, will be at the Assistant Professor level.

Applicants should submit a letter discussing their understanding and
experience in Geographical Information Systems and Planning, (and in
Resource Management and/or Remote Sensing if applicable), and their
qualifications and research and teaching interests.  Also submit the
