Description: ORNHIC, in cooperation with the Nature Conservancy, is conducting a comprehensive inventory of Willamette Valley oak vegetation in support of conservation and restoration goals. The field botanist/ecologist will survey plant communities occurring throughout the Willamette Valley. Field data will support an oak community classification and mapping effort. Position is based out of Portland, but may require travel and camping for several days at a time. Botanical experience and knowledge of Willamette Valley vegetation is beneficial. Ability to work both independently and cooperatively with others is necessary. Some training will be provided.
