Graduate Assistantship - Stand Susceptibility to Southern Pine Beetle A half-time M.S. assistantship will be available starting in August 2006 = in the Department of Forestry at Mississippi State University, working = in collaboration with the Department of Entomology & Plant Pathology. = The successful applicant will take part in a study examining factors at = the tree, stand, and landscape level affecting the susceptibility of = stands to infestation by southern pine beetle. Minimum qualifications = include a B.S. degree in forestry, entomology, or a related field, and = an interest in forest health issues.
