Does anyone on the List have any experience of using night vision equipment for behavioural observations of birds?
I'm interested in looking at patterns of use and behaviour through the day and night of pasture by shore birds that breed in the uplands of northern England. Essentially I'd like to be able to identify the bird species and describe their behaviour in as similar way as possible to what can be seen during daylight. Any help or advice and especially experience with particular pieces of equipment would be most welcome.
