Assistant Professor in Biology

The Biology Department invites applications for a tenure-track position =
at the rank of Assistant Professor to begin August 27, 2007. Applicants =
must have a Ph.D. in Biology and demonstrated interest in undergraduate =
education. The successful candidate will redesign, direct, and help =
teach a large general education non-majors Natural Science Biology =
course. The applicant is expected to develop an externally supported =
research program. Substantial start-up funds are available. Preference =
will be given to individuals with refereed publications in science =
pedagogy who have taught life sciences using active, inquiry-oriented =
instructional approaches. Experience in developing distance learning and =
