The Biology Department at Clarkson University invites =
applications for Director of First Year Biology at the level of =
Assistant Professor. This non-tenure track, full-time, renewable =
position is appropriate for doctoral-level professionals in the life =
sciences committed to excellence in teaching introductory college =
biology in both lecture and laboratory format. Experience and =
demonstrated success in teaching a broad array of topics in contemporary =
biology to both biology majors and non-science majors is required. The =
position includes responsibility for designing and implementing lab =
exercises, training and supervising teaching assistants, and conducting =
an annual departmental teaching assessment. Candidates with research =
experience who are interested in collaborating on externally funded =
pedagogical or laboratory-based projects are especially encouraged to =
apply. Clarkson is a small private university with a mission focused on =
