One Full Time Educator Position Available for 2007 Tracy Aviary, Salt Lake City Duties Duties for these position may include: (1) assistance in teaching various established youth and adult programs and in developing new on-grounds programs and activities, (2) refining existing curricula and designing assessment strategies for these efforts, and (3) volunteer coordination. Other requirements include attending routine organizational and departmental meetings, as well as various training opportunities, as appropriate. Terms of Service Positions available in February. Each full-time position requires a 1700 hour commitment, generally over a period of approximately ten months, with the possibility of continued employment at a competitive salary, depending on performance. Compensation Monthly living allowance of approximately $1100/month Health and dental coverage Educational award Government-subsidized student loan deferment Funding for these positions is provided through the Americorps / Utah Conservation Corps program. Minimum Qualifications Education: A bachelors degree in education, natural resources, environmental studies, conservation, biology, zoology or related field from an approved college or university is strongly preferred. Experience: None required. However, experience with youth and/or students or other experience related to the above duties is preferred.
