Defenders of Wildlife invites you to participate in a one-day symposium
that will bring together leading scientists to present the latest
findings on the impacts of global warming on North American wildlife,
key scientists and wildlife managers to identify actions that can be
taken to reduce the impact of global warming on North American wildlife,
and prominent policymakers to recommend steps that Congress, the
Executive Branch, states, and conservation groups should take to ensure
that wildlife is able to survive the impacts of global warming impacts

Defenders of Wildlife will hold a symposium entitled "Innovations in
Wildlife Conservation: Reducing the Impact of Global Warming on
America's Wildlife," on September 27, 2007 in Washington, D.C. The
symposium will be held in connection with a dinner that evening
celebrating Defenders of Wildlife's 60th anniversary. The symposium will
bring together prominent scientists to present the latest findings on
the impacts of global warming on North American wildlife, key scientists
and wildlife managers to identify actions that can be taken to reduce
the impact of global warming on North American wildlife, and thoughtful
policymakers to recommend steps that Congress, the Executive Branch,
states, and conservation groups should take to ensure that wildlife is
able to navigate the bottleneck of global warming impacts over the next
century.
