The GIS/Remote Sensing/Telemetry working group of the Wildlife Society is
soliciting applications for a $500 student travel award to attend the
Wildlife Society's Annual 2007 Conference in Tuscon, Arizona. Individual
applicants must be a current or recently graduated student and a member of
the Wildlife Society at the national level. Applicants must be presenting a
poster or oral presentation at the conference. Preference will be given to
students whose research emphasizes GIS, remote sensing, or telemetry in some
fashion. To apply for the travel grant, send a copy of your presentation
abstract, a 1-page CV, and a 1-page letter stating your professional
interests and why you should be considered for the award to Greg Forcey
([EMAIL PROTECTED]). You may also mail your application to Greg
Forcey, Pandion Systems, 4603 NW 6th St, Gainesville, FL, 32609. In the case
of multiple, highly-qualified applicants, we may offer two awards. Selected
recipients of the award will be asked to write a small piece describing
their research for our winter newsletter. The application deadline is August
15, 2007. Award recipients will be notified by September 1, 2007.
