The GIS/Remote Sensing/Telemetry working group of the Wildlife Society is soliciting applications for a $500 student travel award to attend the Wildlife Societys Annual 2007 Conference in Tuscon, Arizona. Individual applicants must be a current or recently graduated student and a member of the Wildlife Society at the national level. Applicants must be presenting a poster or oral presentation at the conference. Preference will be given to students whose research emphasizes GIS, remote sensing, or telemetry in some fashion. To apply for the travel grant, send a copy of your presentation abstract, a 1-page CV, and a 1-page letter stating your professional interests and why you should be considered for the award to Greg Forcey ([EMAIL PROTECTED]). You may also mail your application to Greg Forcey, Pandion Systems, 4603 NW 6th St, Gainesville, FL, 32609. In the case of multiple, highly-qualified applicants, we may offer two awards. Selected recipients of the award will be asked to write a small piece describing their research for our winter newsletter. The application deadline is August 15, 2007. Award recipients will be notified by September 1, 2007.
