Position:  Microbial Cell Biologist

The Department of Biological Sciences at Eastern Illinois University is
seeking a Microbial Cell Biologist (tenure track) to begin August 2008.
Ph.D. required; postdoctoral experience preferred. Teaching
responsibilities include undergraduate courses in general biology,
microbiology, molecular cell biology (including a molecular laboratory
component), and a graduate course in the area of specialty. The
Department of Biological Sciences (website: www.eiu.edu/~biology
<http://www.eiu.edu/~biology>  ) has a diverse faculty with strong
expertise in organismal, environmental and molecular biology. Although
research interests are open to all areas of microbial and cell biology,
we seek candidates who complement existing strengths in the department.
Successful candidates will be expected to develop a productive and
funded research program involving both undergraduate and M.S. students.
