The Section of Integrative Biology of the University of Texas at Austin seeks to hire an ecologist at the Assistant Professor level to begin September 2008. The successful applicant will join a strong program in Ecology, Evolution, and Behavior (http://www.biosci.utexas.edu/ib) and will have the opportunity to interact with programs in the Environmental Science Institute (http://www.esi.utexas.edu/). We are searching for an organismal-based ecosystem ecologist. While we will consider a broad range of research areas, we are particularly interested in research at the interface of ecosystem ecology and plant physiology. A Ph.D. is required in Biological Sciences or related areas and postdoctoral experience is preferred. Teaching duties will include an undergraduate course in ecology and a graduate course in the candidates' area of interest.
