Would you please bring to the attention of your postdocs and talented
finishing doctoral student the following two tenure track faculty positons
in ecology. The department is beginning to experience retirements and
these two positions are from retirement. We have initiated a wide search
and expect excellent candidates. These positions have been advertized in
Science (September), ESA, Academic Keys and in e-mails to leader faculty in
Ecology. The University of Dayton Biology program includes a BS, MS and
Ph.D. and a BS in Environmental Biology. UD is a private Marianist
Catholic comprehensive university (Engineering, Business, Education, Law,
Arts and Sciences) and is in the top 100 universities in federal research
support. We are competitive on salary and startup packages for new
faculty. The University of Dayton provides great opportunity for young
faculty to start a career. This is a place where success in research and
teaching is supported. Three of our faculty have spouses who are also
tenured at Miami University and Wright State University. In this current
job search we are linked to three academic positions at Wright State
University which can be viewed on the web site. The University of
Cincinnati and Ohio State University are within an hours drive of Dayton.

I have attached a pdf of the position descriptions and would like you to
share this information widely.

Thank you very much.
