Encourage your Undergraduate Students to Apply!!! The department of Entomology at Texas A&M has been granted and REU by NSF. This is to our knowledge, the only REU in an entomology department in the nation!.
If any of your undergraduate students is interested in exploring the role that host-plant species may have in the evolution of herbivorous insects, encourage them to contact my lab ([EMAIL PROTECTED]). The student will learn DNA extraction and molecular marker development methods and will use these genetic tools to explore the role that host- plant species have in the differentiation of herbivorous insect populations. By the end of the experience the undergraduate student involved in our mini-project will be able to present her/his results at a professional meeting. This is a super exciting opportunity. Eco-undergrads do not let it go! Apply! For information on how to apply please go to: http://insects.tamu.edu/reu Best Raul Raul F.
