Monika - In addition to the other suggestions: most Canadian magazines will send subscriptions to the U.S. (albeit, for a slightly higher cost). Owl and Yes magazine are both aimed at the 9-14 age group. My 8yr old receives Chickadee & Know, which are from the same publishers, but aimed at younger children.
